PRICE CHOPPER SUPERMARKETS FALL HOLIDAY SHOW – This was an annual 3-day event that was part merchandising trade show, part company “pep rally” that was attended by store managers and department managers from all 134 stores, as well as corporate executives and merchandising category managers, and each year had a different inspirational theme. Along with trade partner booths and displays showcasing their latest products, each department conducted breakout meetings to discuss sales objectives and upcoming holiday promotions. In addition, our teammates were treated to lunch and dinner receptions, in which presentations were given by the company president that related to that year’s theme, and were meant to inspire, excite and instill pride in them. My job in all of this was to conceptualize and design the show logo and all other collateral materials, to communicate the theme to our teammates in an engaging and meaningful way.
